The Arteritano Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes, preserves, and celebrates Hispanic arts and culture through education, performance, and community programs that inspire creativity, cultural awareness, and lifelong appreciation of cultural heritage.
We are rooted in the traditions that Latino and Spanish-heritage families have carried into this city across generations — flamenco, Latin American folklore, indigenous textile practices, culinary heritage, music, and more. Through education, performance, and community, we create space for these living traditions to be experienced, shared, and passed on.
Some of us came to Vacaville carrying traditions our children have never had the chance to fully embrace. Others were born here, searching for a place to belong. This foundation exists for both — and for the generations that come after, who feel drawn to a deeper connection with their roots.

The Raíces pilot at Markham Elementary served over 120 students — bringing rumba flamenca, Sevillanas, and castanet training into the classroom for the first time. For many students, it was a moment of coming home — connecting to their heritage through movement, rhythm, language, and the specific dance styles, costumes, and music their families carry.
For others, it opened a door to a culture they had never known but instantly recognized as part of themselves. That sense of belonging — of being seen — is what Raíces is really about. In 2026, the program expands to at least two more Vacaville schools.

Casa de Arte is our north star — a permanent cultural home in Vacaville where all of this lives together. A space to exhibit, perform, teach, gather, and preserve. A place that belongs to the community.
The many Latin American and Spanish communities that have shaped Vacaville deserve a permanent institutional presence. Not just a program, but a home. Casa de Arte is that home.
We are building toward it — one production, one residency, one gathering at a time. Every donation, every ticket, every class enrollment is a step closer.
Support Casa de ArteAttending felt like coming home — which reflects the meaningful community being created through Casa de Arte. I had no idea when I signed up to learn flamenco that I would also build meaningful relationships and feel such a strong sense of belonging.
