The people
behind the mission.

A dedicated team united by a love for Hispanic arts, culture, and the community we call home.

Our Story

Built with roots.
Built to last.

The Arteritano Foundation was established in Vacaville in November 2025 — but the work behind it is the result of years of deep roots in this community and a genuine love for what Hispanic arts and culture bring to the lives of people who call this city home.

We are a dedicated team united by a shared investment in Vacaville and a love for the breadth of Hispanic traditions that have helped shape the fabric of this city’s cultural history. Our board brings together expertise across finance, education, hospitality, and community service — people who believe that culture is not a luxury. It is how communities remember who they are and pass that forward.

We are just getting started. And we are building to last.

Secretary & Director of Student Engagement

Loli Martinez Calbert is a lifelong Vacaville resident with deep roots in this community. Of Spanish heritage, she grew up with a genuine love for the cultural traditions that connect people to where they come from. She co-founded Dream Team Lending with her business partner Alix Pate, building a thriving mortgage brokerage known throughout Solano County for its care, expertise, and commitment to helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. Beyond her professional life, Loli leads her neighborhood association — Foxboro Friends — and is a committed supporter of the Vacaville community, with her business actively sponsoring local events focused on youth development and community connection. She brings that same dedication and community spirit to her role on the Arteritano Foundation board.

Lissette Mora
Lissette Mora
Director of Events & Hospitality

Originally from Nicaragua, Lissette has called Vacaville home for over 35 years. A full-time Realtor and local business owner — including a Latin American restaurant — she has spent her life celebrating the cultural diversity of Latin America. She believes food, gathering, and hospitality are among the most meaningful ways a culture expresses itself, and brings that philosophy to the foundation’s events and experiences.

Sara Johnson
Sara Johnson
Director of School Partnerships

Sara Johnson is the Principal of Edwin Markham Elementary School in the Vacaville Unified School District — the community she grew up in and deliberately chose to return to with her own family. A bilingual educator with over two decades of experience, she studied, lived, and worked in both Spain and Mexico, giving her a deep and personal connection to the Hispanic students and families she serves. Edwin Markham is home to a large and vibrant Latino student community — the same families the Arteritano Foundation exists to celebrate and support. Sara’s roots in Vacaville, her commitment to cultural education, and her belief in the power of the arts make her an invaluable partner in bringing the foundation’s programs to local schools.
